Level I Education consists of 12 hours of DUI education over a minimum 3-day period, not more than 4 hours can be conducted in one calendar day. Typically, Level I is conducted in a group or class setting. Level I Education is not appropriate for someone who has had more than one impaired driving offense.
Level II Education consists of 24 hours of DUI education over 12 weeks. Typically conducted in a group setting, class size is limited to not more than 12 regularly attending. Level II Education can be recommended by itself or may be followed by Level II Therapy.
When Level II Therapy is required it follows Level II Education and can range in length from 5 to 10 months depending on the track assigned. Track assignment depends on whether a person has prior impaired driving offenses.
Relapse Prevention Therapy teaches coping strategies such as constructive ways of thinking and behaving to deal with the immediate problems such as residual urges and cravings for the object of their addiction – mainly drugs and alcohol.
Moral Reconation Therapy is designed specifically for treatment-resistant clients, or clients for whom traditional treatment approaches are ineffective or inappropriate. The primary goal of MRT in addiction recovery is to change how substance abusers make decisions and judgments by increasing moral reasoning, enhancing self-image, and promoting the growth of a positive identity.
Anger Managment classes are for people who have difficulty controlling their anger. In this class you will learn techniques such as understanding, expressing and managed you anger. Also you will learn how to staying in control, managing stress, avoiding negative influences, and develop behavior change plan.
This program is designed for individuals that continue to suffer relapse as related to substance abuse issues. This is a specific course to individuals who need help reinforcing responsibilities and to optimize appropriate personal functioning. The time period for this treatment is different on each person.
